We are an Italian/ English family with a three year old boy and a 48ft G. Frers designed cutter. The boat is well looked after. We sail between the UK and our little farm on the southern, Spanish/ Portugese border. Sometimes en famille, sometimes not. Next year we may sail into the Med. I have quite a bit of experience, much ocean racing in my youth, and a southern ocean leg of the first Whitbread and several Atlantic crossings. We are sometimes looking for a congenial hand. If this interests you, perhaps we could meet in London. I look forward to hearing from you. Michael A

Hi. I am planning a sailing Odyssey ( adventure ), and to purchase a 56/61 foot Oyster later this year or early next year and putting together a fun crew. We have many common interests in addition to sailing, hiking, fishing ( fly fishing ) , skiing, I also enjoy surfing and cooking and of course being in the sun. O, and I am into spiritual things too, .... We will have a healthy boat with great food, and some chartering work along to way to pay the way. We will intially travel to the Caribbean, then New England and most likely the Med. Then possibly to the south pacific and onward. If you are seeking a real adventure, like to travel are energetic, willing to learn and work along side me and one or two others, Please send me your CV. Today. I was just talking to a new friend of mine today about my fishing experiences at the Green River in Utah and the Yellowstone. I have fond memories of an afternoon in Billings at the Federation of Fly Fishers Conclave a few years ago. Hope you are enjoying summer. Rich L#####

You may be the guy we need for a job out here in Crete, immediately for about 6 weeks. It is working for the Aghios Nikolaos Marina Yacht Chandlery/Agents - mostly in the shop but includes a lot of liaising with cruising yacht owners and the occasional megayacht Captain, there is also some hands-on work in marina. It is not a great money-spinner but would be helping us out, and you would certainly end up "ahead" money-wise, also enjoyable hopefully. We also have many contacts in the luxury yacht business as regards on-going work, if you are serious about this as a career. When back in UK we have a place near Poole, and I have done quite a bit of work myself at Saltern's Marina in the past. To repeat this is immediate, and your cv, even down to doing up your own vessel, sounds right. We should naturally need some references. Best regards, Rodney #########, |

Hi! Do you want to sail from Gran Canaria to St.Lucia 26th of November? We need a man onboard with your experience! We are female skipper Gry (48), Gunhild (60) and Felix (13) from Norway. Both Gry and Gunhild have passed examens for handling boats larger than 50 feet and up to 50 brt. I bought my Beneteau Oceanis Clipper 393 in march 2005 (new from factory). I have sailed since I was a kid, but never done an atlantic crossing. My son Felix is capable of handling the boat on his own. We live on Gran Canaria, and the boat has its berth in Puerto Rico, GC. It is fully equiped for the crossing: windgenerator, solarpanels, satelitetelephone, ssb receiver, weatherfax etc. etc. Gunhild (former working collegue of mine) and I are easygoing persons (lots of laughs, keen on new experiences - as an atlantic crossing). We all speak decent english. I was a journalist in an Oslo-based tabloid newspaper, but had to retire because of an illness. That is the reason why we moved to Gran Canaria four years ago. I am doing ok with the disease (called meniere)now. Gunhild and Felix are sporty persons: Both are certified scubadivers. We also have a windsurfing-board with us. Felix and I plan to stay "over there" untill the beginning of May, then returning via Azores, Madeira to GC. Gunhild has to return to work after X-mas. If you want, it is possible to stay onboard longer than the crossing. We will see how things work out? For the record, I am not looking for a boyfriend, just companionship. OK? We split expenses for the crossing, and you have to have your own personal insurance, but these things we can talk more about if you are interesed in joining us. Enough for now! Hope to hearing from you soon? gry woxholth |

Hi! I (Rachel) have chartered a 37’ Bavaria, for a week 29th July to 5th August, from Largs on the Clyde. My husband Alec and friend Sarah are coming, and, we hoped, at least one of a large number of interested friends. But unfortunately we chose a bad week. Although we will go ahead with 3, we think we would have more fun and could tackle rougher weather with another person. We are aged 58,57,48, respectively. We would expect an additional crew member to cover food costs, hire of wet weather gear and travel, (although we can offer a lift from the Midlands), and we would appreciate a willingness to pay some contribution to the charter cost – negotiable and related to your personal financial situation, as we hope it will be an enjoyable experience. I am very willing to share all tasks aboard. The time scale is really short, and if you are at all interested and available, please ring me, rather than email. My mobile number is 07966 #####
